June Leaf: Shooting from the Heart Exhibition Review

I’ve known June Leaf’s work for 40 years, but that makes me a bit of a Johnny-come-lately to an artist who had already been at work for three decades. So for me, getting my first-ever in-person view of many pieces from the 1950s through the ’70s was one of the great pleasures of seeing the retrospective “June Leaf: Shooting from the Heart” at the Grey Art Museum, New York University (where it had travelled from the Addison Gallery of American Art, Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts).
