In this conversation, Franklin Sirmans, Terri and Michael Smooke Department Head and Curator of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Bruce J. Altshuler, Clinical Professor and Director of Museum Studies, New York University, will shed light on current approaches to curating museum exhibitions and collections of contemporary art in general—and African American contemporary art, including Radical Presence, in particular.
