Pagbubunyi: A Celebration of Filipino Culture and Heritage

Washington Irving High School, 40 Irving Place (between 16th and 17th Streets)
This fun-filled family day includes two traditional music and dance concerts featuring major Filipino performing companies of the tri-state area, workshops in rondalla music, folk dance, music from the North and South Philippines, and Philippine history. In addition, children’s crafts, games and storytelling, Filipino costume displays and lectures, demonstrations of Filipino martial arts, exhibitions of crafts, food, and more.
Presented by The Center for Traditional Music and Dance with the Pagbubunyi Organizing Committee, and in association with the Asia Society.
