Kwame Anthony Appiah, Professor of Philosophy, Princeton University, discusses the vibrant textile traditions of Africa, focusing on the cross-cultural connections and diverse materials, modes of production, and motifs in Ghanaian kente cloth, Malian mud cloth, and northern Nigerian indigo-dyed fabrics.
