Panel discussion moderated by Joan La Barbara, composer, performer, and faculty member, Music Composition (Steinhardt), NYU, with David Behrman, composer; and Alison Knowles and Carolee Schneemann, multidisciplinary artists. Speakers will examine experimental music and performance works of the 1960s and ’70s, the advent of Fluxus, and the influence of John Cage. Performances will include updated versions of David Behrman’s Runthrough (1967), and Philip Corner’s Solo with … (1964).
