36.5 / NEW YORK ESTUARY

The last in a series of global performance and video works by Sarah Cameron Sunde36.5 / NEW YORK ESTUARY will feature the artist standing in the Cove on the East River where Astoria meets Long Island City in Queens for a full tidal cycle (12-13 hours). She partners with local organizations and invites the public to participate by standing in the water with her and by marking each passing hour from the shore.

The Grey Art Gallery will livestream the performance on a monitor facing Washington Square Park, joining venues in all five boroughs of New York City, around the country, and the world. Footage from other global performance sites will be layered into the livestream feed.
