Support

Your support of the Grey Art Museum enables us to further our work as New York University’s fine arts museum. Although NYU covers our basic operating expenses, the Grey must raise funds to support our exhibitions, publications, and public programs. As New York City’s leading university museum, the Grey not only contributes to this international arts capital’s cultural vibrancy but also provides students (many of whom have never visited a museum before) with a friendly, unintimidating experience and the opportunity to view provocative, mind-expanding shows.

Giving categories and links for online donations are listed below. If you would like to make a donation by mail, wire transfer, or stock transfer, please address your email to Laurie Duke, Associate Director, at greyartmuseum@nyu.edu.

General Fund

General fund donations help sustain all of the Grey’s activities, including helping to realize our critically acclaimed exhibitions, dynamic and diverse public programs, and award-winning scholarly publications.

Gifts to the general fund are 100% tax-deductible.

Tom Sokolowski Internship Fund

Donations to the Tom Sokolowski Internship Fund will help provide financial support to future Grey Art Museum student interns. Tom Sokolowski (1950–2020; pictured right) was director of the Grey Art Museum from 1984 to 1996. His capacious intelligence and sharp wit informed the groundbreaking exhibitions he initiated at the Grey. Tom was also an NYU alum and an irrepressibly enthusiastic and supportive mentor to the students he supervised; this named internship honors his memory.

Gifts to this fund are 100% tax-deductible.
